DAY OUT WITH THOMAS™: THE PARTY TOUR IS HEADING TO Grapevine Vintage Railroad CELEBRATING 80 YEARS OF THOMAS & FRIENDS
A Life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine is coming to downtown Grapevine, TX October 10-12 & 17-19, 2025
All Aboard! Thomas the Tank Engine, everyone's favorite #1 blue engine, is coming to town and we're celebrating big this year for Thomas's 80th Birthday. Day Out With Thomas: The Party Tour will be stopping at Grapevine Vintage Railroad on October 10-12 & 17-19, 2025.
For 30 years, Day Out With Thomas has been a fun-filled family event taking place at Heritage Railways across the world. Each ticket includes a train ride with a life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine as well as access to a full day of activities for all to enjoy. Activities include live entertainment, photo ops with Sir Topham Hatt, lawn games and shopping at the pop-up gift shop for exclusive Thomas swag.
Thomas & Friends marks its 80th anniversary this year, celebrating eight decades of entertaining children and families with its timeless railway adventures. Since its debut in 1945, the beloved franchise continues to captivate young fans with new and exciting adventures. Special birthday celebrations on tour will feature family-friendly activities like birthday party hat making, decorating a birthday card for Thomas, arts & crafts and more! And fans can even take commemorative photos with a festive Thomas adorned in confetti.
WHAT: Day Out With Thomas: The Party Tour highlights include:
- Friends and families will take a 25-minute train ride featuring a talking Thomas the Tank Engine locomotive.
- Activities and entertainment featuring:
- Party activities in Celebration Station
- Play with Thomas & Friends toys then pick out a temporary tattoo in the Play Pod
- Photo opportunities throughout the event, including with Thomas himself.
- An activity sheet that will guide guests through the event experience highlighting the four key station stops to visit for a free giveaway
- Live entertainment by Dallas Puppet Theater, Marty the Magician, Wildlife on the Move and Ramblin' Rita
- Outdoor activities yard games, temporary tattoos, live stage entertainment, arts & crafts, trike corral, huge sandbox and much more!
- Say hello to Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway
- Admission $26.00 for ages 1 & up
- Pop-up gift shop on site with exclusive Thomas & Friends products only available at Day Out With Thomas
- Food and drinks available on-site for purchase
