Kissimmee, FL — (Aug. 20, 2025) Kissimmee is entering a transformative chapter in its hospitality story, marked by bold investments, strategic rebrands and first-of-their-kind developments that are reshaping the region's lodging landscape. From hotel projects in the heart of Downtown Kissimmee to construction beginning near the Kissimmee Gateway Airport and major attractions, the destination is expanding its capacity to welcome visitors, meeting groups and business travelers like never before. These new and renovated properties not only enhance the guest experience but also strengthen Kissimmee's position as a premier destination for leisure and group travel in Central Florida.

Downtown Kissimmee Welcomes First-Ever Hotels in Historic Development Milestone
In a landmark move set to change the hospitality landscape of Downtown Kissimmee, the City of Kissimmee has approved two major hotel developments that will bring much-needed accommodations to the heart of the city. On July 1, city commissioners selected Azure Hotel International Inc. and Skyview Companies to lead this transformative project.

Azure Hotel International will spearhead a $180 million project at 201 E. Dakin Street, featuring a 300-room hotel, 12,500 square feet of meeting space and a brand-new 45,000-square-foot convention center. Meanwhile, Skyview Companies will develop a $31 million mixed-use project at 92 Pleasant Street, including a 128-room Sonesta hotel and residential condominiums adjacent to the city-owned Toho Square parking garage.

These will be the first hotels ever built in Downtown Kissimmee – a milestone in the city's continued evolution. By introducing convenient lodging options for visitors, event attendees and groups, the new developments are expected to deliver a significant boost to local businesses and restaurants.

Hyatt Studios Breaks Ground at Kissimmee Gateway Airport, Elevating Business Travel

On July 7, the Kissimmee Place Development Group began construction on a 122-room Hyatt Studios hotel situated on two acres within the Dyer-Thacker Commerce Park. This marks the first hotel development at the airport and is poised to serve as a vital hub for business travelers, executives and aviation professionals. The property will feature 3,000 square feet of meeting space, offering flexible options for corporate gatherings and small conferences.

Expected to open by the end of 2026, the development marks a strategic investment in Kissimmee's position as a connected, business-friendly destination. Further enhancing the airport's infrastructure, Kissimmee Gateway Airport was recently awarded a $1.5 million Airport Infrastructure Grant by Congressman Darren Soto, supporting critical upgrades that will complement the new hotel and elevate the overall travel experience.
